Just before Christmas a flock of five Waxwings turned up in the car park of Bird Watching magazine, in Peterborough. The birds were feeding on the last of the Rowan berries left on the trees in the car park (after a fieldfare or two had thinned them out!). When the sun poked through (briefly on 20 December), BW assistant editor Mike Weedon dashed down to take a few photographs. These are the portraits he came up with.
