The Coastguard Lookout is a historic property located along the Old Hunstanton Clifftops in Norfolk.
Originally built as a Marconi Wireless Station back in 1906, the Coastguard Lookout played an important part in both World Wars, intercepting German radio transmissions and tracing German fleet. In 1976 it became a maritime museum which eventually closed and several years later the property was restored by new owners.
The property features a top floor lookout, which gives unrivalled panoramic views of the Wash; perfect for watching birds, boats, the ever-changing tide and for catching beautiful sunsets.
Norfolk has a stunning range of bird life and beautiful nature reserves where it can be discovered all year round. Old Hunstanton is only a short walk away from the property where you'll find a shop, a delicatessen, a post office and several pubs and restaurants. The cliffs and beach are just a 5 minute stroll away!

At Allons y Pyrenees we provide great accommodation in a tranquil rural setting; we aim to deliver great food and hospitality with a genuinely friendly approach. We specialise in activity holidays, especially road cycling, but our location means that we are surrounded by all types of wildlife and are ideally placed as a base to access a variety of mountain locations – we also provide transport for days out if required.
Our area abounds with birdlife: astonishing numbers of birds of prey including Kites and Kestrels and the well renowned vulture populations of the higher cols. Closer to home, we see an abundance of green woodpeckers and are a short walk from a wooded stream where Kingfishers have been spotted on several occasions. The occasional wandering hoopoe provides an unexpected sight in the lanes. It is rare to even step outside the gate without sighting something of note, but the backdrop of the landscape and the Pyrenees is a reward in itself.

THE 'TREEHOUSE' is in the picturesque village of Boat of Garten, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. This unique self-catering lodge is set in almost an acre of mature pine and birch wood, with views of the Cairngorm Mountains.
The local shops are only a few minutes’ walk away, yet the lodge is peaceful enough that often the only sound is that of birds singing, or the steam train puffing past.
The heart of the Treehouse is the spacious, comfortable lounge with log burning fire. It is a place to relax, and enjoy the views through the trees to the stunning scenery beyond, and the window seat, at the far end of this room, is ideal for birdwatchers and red squirrel spotters.
There are three cosy bedrooms, large kitchen, modern bathroom, and a storage/drying room. The large deck, elevated to maximise the views, really does make you feel as if you are in a Treehouse.
There are numerous woodland walks nearby, and Loch Garten, home of the ospreys, is only a few miles away.
