Birding around Rutland

If you're visiting Birdfair and fancy a bit of local birding away from Rutland Water itself, we've put together a collection of top birding sites within an hour or so's drive.

Not that you need to go to Birdfair to enjoy them. We've aimed for a good variety of year-round sites, so if you live in or are passing through the centre of England at any time, there should be something to suit you. Most of the sites are close to the M1 or A1, which makes getting to them easy.
